I'm working hard to deliver the infrastructure, services and resources our growing community needs, now and into the future. Here are some of the significant projects that I have helped secure for our community.
- Strathpine Station accessibility Upgrade
- Lawnton Park and Ride expansion
- Strathpine Rd/Gympie Arterial Rd traffic flow improvements
- Linkfield Rd northbound on-ramp extension
- Gympie Rd roundabout removal at Dixon St
- Mount Mee Road safety upgrades
- Dayboro Tip turning lane installation
- Safety improvements on Mt Glorious Rd/Samford-Mt Glorious Rd
- Petrie roundabout upgrade
- Major safety upgrade for Eatons Crossing Rd including Lilley Rd blackspot and new Koala safety measures
- Strathpine station access upgrade
- Ferny Grove station transport oriented development
- Lawnton station 250 extra car parks
- New! School Hall for Bray Park High
- New! School hall for Lawnton State School
- Bray Park High new learning spaces and classroom improvements
- Petrie University
- Every state school in Pine Rivers now has air-conditioning in every learning space meaning the weather is one less barrier to learning
- Classroom refurbishments are being rolled out to every school in Pine Rivers Expanded maintenance budgets to keep our schools at their best
- Solar schools program recently commenced - all schools will have solar by 2022 to offset school electricity costs
- New flashing school lights at Strathpine, Mount Samson and Bray Park schools
- Building new facilities in Bray Park State High and Pine Rivers Special School to address growth
As a part of the government I supported:
- Free TAFE for year 12 school leavers in priority qualifications
- Skilling Queenslanders for Work to help eligible young and older job seekers gain new skills
- Free online training to workers impacted by COVID-19
- Skills Boost providing subsidised training in priority areas to those already in the workforce
- Back to Work supporting small business taking on new staff particularly trainees and apprentices
- Government supported protective medical manufacturing now underway in Brendale,
- Supporting local jobs and businesses through more local infrastructure projects
Expanding the Works for Queensland program to southeast Queensland. Works for Queensland projects being delivered with Moreton Bay Council include:
- upgrading the Pine Rivers Swans AFL clubhouse
- new Pine Rivers BMX track and
- creating a new pedestrian causeway at Percy Cash Bridge in Samford.
We’ve protected lives through our COVID response and now we are protecting livelihoods. We’re keeping Queensland working by supporting local jobs.
