Nikki believes that climate change is real and is committed to an investment in renewables. The Palaszczuk Government’s Solar 150 program is delivering 6 new large scale renewable projects across Queensland. Labor in government has a target for one million new homes to have solar panels. Under the Palaszczuk Governments plan, Queensland will have a $1 billion industrial biotechnology and by-products sector by 2025, sustainable and exporting to global markets.

Nikki is committed to Koala conservation in Pine Rivers, that’s why she is lobbying the Environment Minister to establish a new urban refuge locally. Labor in government is also investing $12.1 million over four years which includes koala monitoring and conservation.
