Dayboro Bowls Club paints the town

August 16, 2019

The Dayboro Bowls Club has recently been refreshed and renewed. The club has been a beneficiary of a $22,000 Gambling Community Benefit Fund grant, round 99.

From the receipt of the grant, the members moved quickly to progress the work. The result is a fresh modern pallet that has rejuvenated the club instantly.

State Member for Pine Rivers, Nikki Boyd MP recently visited the clubhouse to congratulate the executive membership and inspect the works.

“The facility is totally transformed through the lick of paint. It is evident that the membership has really considered what would make the space most appropriate for them as well as multipurpose public use. With its refreshed modern pallet this is a fantastic versatile function space for hire” she said.

This recent grant follows on from the clubs success in securing a Gambling Community Benefit Fund grant in round 85 in 2015.

At that time a $19,422 grant was used to upgrade the existing real grass bowling green. More than 3 years on the green is one of the best playing surfaces in the region and a real asset to the club.

If you haven’t had the opportunity to see the refreshed facilities for yourself, why not pop in and support a great local club.
